If you want to have a first class, five star Iceland experience look no further then Deluxe Iceland. We just came back from a 6 day/5 night visit to the southern part of Iceland and it exceeded all of our expectations. Not only is the country beautiful and the people welcoming, friendly and safe, Sig has taken luxury travel and service to another level. From the moment you land to the moment you leave, every detail is accounted and designed around you! The schedule is your own, no rush or pressure, but Sig is ready to take you to all the best sights and his knowledge of Iceland and it’s history is unmatched (I asked a lot of questions!). Itinerary
When you arrive in Iceland at Keflavik Airport, your private driver will greet you at the arrivals hall and take you to relax in the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa. You will have premium access to the Blue Lagoon to soak in geothermal waters in one of the wonders of the world. Afterwards your private driver will take you to your hotel in South Iceland.
On this day you will get right into action and head straight for the beautiful Icelandic south shore. You will start the day by driving to the Black Sandy Beach, Reynisfjara, where you will see Reynisdrangar Cliffs (Approx. drive 1 hour 10 minutes). Afterwards you will be taken to see Skógafoss waterfall, which is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, which you can walk right up to. On your way back you will stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall before your guide will take you back to your hotel for the night.
You will start the day by stopping at the Lava Center before going to a local farm to get familiar with the Icelandic farm life and enjoy a cup of coffee and Icelandic Pancakes. Afterwards top the day by going swimming in a local geothermally heated swimming pool in the town of Hella where the children can have fun and you can relax after the day.
On this day you will drive the Golden Circle route, which includes one of Iceland’s most popular places and attractions. You will start with a stop at Gullfoss Waterfall one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls (Approx. drive 1 hour and 15 minutes). Afterwards, you will stop at Geysir Geothermal Area to see the exploding geysers and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 meters (100 ft) into the air every few minutes. On your way to Reykjavik, you will visit the Þingvellir National Park, where you can learn about the world’s first parliament and enjoy a light hike through the park.
Spend the whole day relaxing and discovering Reykjavik. Your hotel is located downtown near all the main shops and attractions, therefore, it is very easy to wander around and explore at your own pace.
On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the airport in time for your flight. *You have to be at Keflavik airport 2 hours before departure.
