What our clients have to say
Winter Wonderland private tour
Diana - November 2021
What an amazing experience! Traveled with my mother (in her 70s). We selected the Winter Wonderland tour and customized it to our interests and skill level. We had the same tour guide the whole trip - Lulli who was wonderful. All the hotel selections were amazing (Hotel Borg, Fosshotel, Hotel Ranga, and Blue Lagoon Retreat Hotel). We spent the first couple of days exploring Reykjavik on our own and then toured Fagradalsfjall Volcano, Seljalandsfoss & Skogafoss waterfalls, Reynisfjara Beach, Vatnajökull National Park, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, LAVA Center, Snowmobiling on Eyjafjallajokull Glacier, the Golden Circle, Reykjanes Peninsula, & Blue Lagoon. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The vehicle was very comfortable and had WiFi. All the lunch spot recommendations were delicious for local flavor. We felt very safe and taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend!
Itinerary
When you arrive in Iceland at Keflavik Airport, your private driver will greet you at the arrivals hall and take you to relax in the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa. You will have access to the Retreat Spa and soak in geothermal waters. There is a restaurant in the Spa if you want to have a light meal. You can stay up to five hours in the Spa. Afterwards your private driver will take you to your hotel in South Iceland.
On this day you will get right into the action and head straight for the beautiful Icelandic south shore. You will start the day by driving to the Black Sandy Beach, Reynisfjara, where you will see Reynisdrangar Cliffs (Approx. drive 1 hours 10 minutes). Afterwards you will be taken to see Skógafoss waterfall, which is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, which you can walk right up to. On your way back you will stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall before your guide will take you back to your hotel for the night.
You will start the day by stopping at the Lava Center before going to a local farm to get familiar with the Icelandic farm life and enjoy a cup of coffee and Icelandic Pancakes. Afterward top the day by going snowmobiling up on Eyjafjallajökull – the infamous glacier that erupted in 2010.
On this day you will drive the Golden Circle route, which includes one of Iceland’s most popular places and attractions. You will start with a stop at Gullfoss Waterfall one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls (Approx. drive 1 hour and 15 minutes). On your way to Reykjavik, you will visit the Þingvellir National Park, where you can learn about the world’s first parliament and enjoy a light hike through the park.
