This seven day privately guided tour is designed for families that want to experience the ultimate adventures in Iceland during the summer. Make the most of your summer break and take your family on this memorable tour in the land of fire and ice. Enjoy long days while visiting the most popular Icelandic nature highlights such as the Golden Circle, the waterfalls of the south coast and the famous Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. Experience fun activities for the whole family like our local farm visit, horseback riding, glacier walk and taking a look inside the dormant volcano named Þríhnúkagígur, which is just among few of the adventures you will embark on during your stay in Iceland. This private tour can also be adjusted to fit younger kids and every part of this itinerary can be modified according to your wishes.
Day 1 - Arrival via the Blue Lagoon & Atv
When you arrive in Iceland at Keflavik Airport, your private driver will greet you at the arrival hall and take you to Grindavik where you will take a one hour Atv tour through the lava fields of Reykjanes Peninsula before going to relax in the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa. Where you will have access to the Retreat Spa and soak in geothermal waters. There is a restaurant in the Spa if you want to have a light meal. You can stay up to four hours in the Spa. After enjoying the Blue Lagoon your private driver will take you to your hotel in Reykjavik.
Day 2 - Inside the Volcano & Horseback Riding
Start the day by taking a one hour horseback riding tour right outside of Reykjavik before heading to the Blue Mountains where you are going to have the unique chance of descending 400 feet to the bottom of a dormant volcano in an open cable lift. After all this your guide will take you to your hotel in Reykjavik.
Day 3 - The Golden Circle & Snorkeling
On this day you will be taken to the Golden Circle, which is one of Iceland’s most popular tours. This tour will take you to the Þingvellir National Park, where you can learn about the world’s first parliament. Go snorkeling in Silfra fissure between the two continents before continuing to see Iceland’s most beautiful waterfall Gullfoss( Golden Falls), followed by the Geysir geothermal field.
Day 4 - The South Shore & Glacier Walk
On this day you will get right into the action and head straight for the beautiful Icelandic south shore. A guide will take you on the ice for a hiking tour on Sólheimajökull glacier. You will be taken to see both the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Skógafoss waterfall, as well as Reynisdrangar Cliffs. After all this our guide will take you to your accommodation for the night.
Day 5 - Eyjafjallajökull Snowmobiling & Farm Visit
You will start the day by visiting a local farm to get familiar with the Icelandic farm life and enjoy a cup of coffee and Icelandic Pancakes and afterwards top the day by going snowmobiling up on Eyjafjallajökull the infamous glacier that erupted in 2010.
Day 6 - Buggy Adventure, Lava Center & City Tour
In the morning you will start an extreme two hour buggy tour in front of the private lodge and head into the highlands of Thorsmork, after getting your adrenaline flowing for the day you will return to the lodge for a light lunch and start heading to Reykjavik.
In the afternoon your private guide will take you towards Reykjavik to Hallgrimskirkja church tower where you will have a nice panoramic view over the city, Solfar sun voyager, Harpan concert hall, The Old Harbour and Bessastaðir the home of the president and show you around Reykjavik most popular highlights before checking in at Tower Suites. On the way you will stop at the Lava Center in Hvolsvöllur.
Day 7 - Departure
On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the airport in time for your flight. *You have to be at Keflavik airport 2 hours before departure.
