If you want to have a first class, five star Iceland experience look no further then Deluxe Iceland. We just came back from a 6 day/5 night visit to the southern part of Iceland and it exceeded all of our expectations. Itinerary
When you arrive in Iceland at Keflavik Airport, your private driver will greet you at the arrivals hall and take you to Reykjavik where you can have breakfast. Then, your private guide will take you up to Hallgrimskirkja church tower where you will have a nice panoramic view over the city, Solfar sun voyager, Harpan concert hall, The Old Harbour and Bessastaðir – the home of the president, and show you around Reykjavik most popular highlights.
Today you will embark on a journey along the Golden Circle route, unveiling some of Iceland’s most popular destinations and captivating attractions. Get ready to travel this enchanting path as you discover the wonders that have captured the hearts of countless adventurers.
On this day your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula tour. The Snæfellsnes glacier is a volcano and is believed to be one of the seven chakras(energy centers) in the world. You will take a look at Kirkjufell Mountain which is one of Iceland’s most photographed mountains. Others stop at beautiful cliff formations at Arnarstapi and Hellnar. At the end of the day, your guide will take you to your hotel in the small fishing village Stykkishólmur where you will spend the night.
Today you will start heading back towards Reykjavik through the Borgjarfjörður area where you will visit Hraunfossar and Barnafossar (waterfalls) (Approx. drive 2 hours). Afterwards, you will stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring where you will go into Krauma Geothermal Baths and relax and enjoy the warmth of the geothermal waters before going back to Reykjavik. You can spend the whole afternoon relaxing and discovering Reykjavik. Your hotel is located downtown near all the main shops and attractions, therefore, it is very easy to wander around and explore at your own pace.
On this day you will get right into the action and head straight for the beautiful Icelandic south shore. You will start the day by visiting a local farm to get familiar with the Icelandic farm life and enjoy a cup of coffee and Icelandic Pancakes with the locals. You will be taken to see Skógafoss waterfall, which is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, which you can walk right up to. Afterwards you will visit the Black Sandy Beach, Reynisfjara before your guide will take you to your hotel in South East Iceland for the night.
On this day you will be taken to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon where you will enjoy everything the lagoon has to offer. You will start the day by driving to The Glacier Lagoon to join your boat tour (Approx. drive 25 minutes). There, you will get the taste of the 1000-year-old ice and if you are lucky you might even see seals swimming among the icebergs. After enjoying everything the lagoon has to offer, you will visit the Diamond Beach a short distance away. After all this, you will head back West with a stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall before your guide will take you to your hotel in South Iceland for the night.
In the morning start heading to the amazing Reykjanes Peninsula where you will take a look at Gunnuhver hot spring (Approx. drive 2 hours), Reykjanesviti, and the bridge between two continents. After all this head to the Blue Lagoon to soak in geothermal waters in one of the wonders of the world where you will have premium access to the Blue Lagoon. After enjoying everything that the Blue Lagoon has to offer your private driver will take you to your hotel in Reykjavik for the night.
On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the airport in time for your flight. *You have to be at Keflavik airport 2 hours before departure.
