Hiking in Iceland is a great way to get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful nature of our country. There is no better way to start the day in Iceland than by hiking up on top of one of our mountains and enjoy the view from there. We offer short hikes from 1 – 3 hours, up Esjan the mountain that will give you a nice view over Reykjavik City and Þorbjorn the mountain by the Blue Lagoon where you can enjoy the views over endless lava fields and the Blue Lagoon.
Glymur Mountain Hike
Glymur waterfall is located in Hvalfjordur fjord in West Iceland, about an hours drive from Reykjavík. Glymur is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland, with a cascade of 198 m. This is the perfect day hike right out of Reykjavík. Put your hiking shoes on, grab your camera and set off on a 3-4 hour hike through canyons, a birch forest, and lava fields.
